Pengurus stesen minyak di Taman Setapak Indah itu, Muhd Haikal Kamarudin berkata, selepas pekerjanya membuka pintu kereta berkenaan, kepulan asap keluar dari kereta itu, manakala wanita berkenaan meronta-ronta kesakitan akibat melecur 60 peratus bahagian badannya.

Dalam kejadian yang berlaku pada tengah hari itu, wanita berkenaan melecur di bahagian badannya apabila telefon bimbit yang sedang digunanya disambar api. 

Mangsa yang dikenali sebagai T Sarifhla, 25, dikatakan sedang mengisi minyak sambil menggunakan telefon bimbit sebelum berlaku percikan api hingga menyambar telefon bimbitnya.

Wanita itu dipercayai bertindak masuk ke dalam keretanya dan menutup pintu kereta jenis Perodua Axia itu.

"Sebaik pekerja saya membuka pintu kereta, dia melihat terdapat banyak kepulan asap keluar dengan seluruh tubuh mangsa melecur bersama kulitnya melekat di belakang tempat duduk penumpang," katanya ketika ditemui Bernama di lokasi kejadian. 

Muhd Haikal berkata, semasa pekerja membuka pintu kereta itu, api telah pun padam.

Menurutnya, pekerjanya kemudiannya bertindak menutup seluruh kawasan stesen minyak itu dan menghubungi pihak polis dan bomba.

"Pada masa sama, pekerja saya turut menghalang orang ramai dari mendekati kawasan kejadian.

"Mereka semua telah dilatih supaya bertindak memberikan bantuan awal sekiranya berlaku sebarang perkara tidak diingini sebelum bantuan seterusnya tiba," katanya. -Bernama
