Pukul Kekasih Dengan Penyapu, Pengawal Keselamatan Dipenjara 3 Bulan

KUALA LUMPUR: Gara-gara cemburu, seorang pengawal keselamatan yang bertindak memukul bekas kekasihnya dengan batang penyapu, dipenjara tiga bulan oleh Mahkamah Majistret di sini, Rabu.

Majistret Husna Dzulkifly menjatuhkan hukuman itu terhadap M. Ravikumar, 28, setelah dia mengaku bersalah mencederakan L. Nadirah, 27, di Bandar Baru Sentul pada 10 pagi, 5 November lepas.

Dia didakwa mengikut Seksyen 324 Kanun Keseksaan yang memperuntukkan hukuman penjara maksimum tiga tahun atau denda atau sebat, atau mana-mana dua daripada hukuman itu.

Mahkamah memerintahkan dia menjalani hukuman itu dari tarikh dia ditangkap pada 6 November lepas.

Mengikut fakta kes, tertuduh memaksa bekas teman wanitanya yang bekerja di kedai salun, untuk membuka kata laluan telefonnya, namun wanita itu enggan berbuat demikian menyebabkan tertuduh menampar muka, menendang dan memukul mangsa dengan batang penyapu sehingga menyebabkan kecederaan di dahi dan anggota badan.

Tertuduh yang tidak diwakili peguam merayu hukuman ringan dengan alasan dia penanggung tunggal keluarga.

Timbalan Pendakwa Raya Ahmad Zikri Jaafar memohon hukuman setimpal sebagai pengajaran kepada tertuduh, yang sepatutnya melindungi orang awam dan bukannya mencederakan mangsa.
