Seorang bapa dan anaknya ditemui tinggal di dalam hutan di Vietnam 40 tahun selepas mereka menghilangkan diri ketika perang negara itu dengan Amerika Syarikat.

Ho Van Thanh dan anaknya Ho Van Lang melarikan diri dari kampung mereka selepas serangan bom Amerika Syarikat membunuh tiga anggota keluarga mereka.

Mereka ditemui penduduk tempatan yang mencari kayu api jauh di dalam hutan di daerah Tay Tra di wilayah Quang Ngai.

Pihak berkuasa semalam mengesahkan lelaki itu ialah Ho Van Thanh, 82 dan anaknya, Ho Van Lang, 41.

Lelaki tua itu menjalani kehidupan normal bersama keluarganya di Tra Kem ketika Perang Vietnam.

Bagaimanapun, selepas letupan bom meragut nyawa isteri dan dua anak lelakinya yang lain, dia melarikan diri dengan membawa anaknya berusia dua tahun ke dalam hutan dan sejak itu tidak pernah berhubung dengan manusia lain.
