Pegawai Operasi Balai Bomba dan Penyelamat Daerah Muar, Pegawai Kanan Bomba II Mohd Johar Tunin berkata, pihaknya menerima panggilan kecemasan pada 5.20 pagi sebelum satu jentera dan kenderaan bantuan kecemasan (ERMS) membabitkan 12 anggota ke tempat kejadian.

"Apabila tiba, kami dapati keempat-empat mangsa maut dan tersepit di tempat duduk masing-masing dengan salah seorang daripada mereka terputus dua di bahagian pinggang.
"Kami mengambil masa kira-kira 10 minit untuk mengeluarkan semua mangsa sebelum dihantar ke Hospital Pakar Sultanah Fatimah (HPSF)," katanya ketika dihubungi, hari ini
